Farm

Small-scale farming that honors nature

Campo Farm is a half-acre farm in Cashmere, Washington that offers a diverse range of vegetables, herbs and cut flowers to our local community. Founded in the spring of 2022, we have been no till from the very beginning.

About the Farm

We are devoted to agroecological practices.

Agroecology provides us with a framework for understanding that the farm is part of an interconnected, dynamic and complex natural system - defined by the relationships that constitute the web of the whole - and offers the reminder that our central focus in farming is to support the health and vitality of the larger ecosystem. We are therefore committed to serving nature and serving life at the most fundamental level possible. With this perspective working with instead of doing to nature, our approach to our farm is ever evolving; we are continually learning and always striving to improve. We value biodiversity and resiliency and are inspired by innovative, regenerative farming systems.

Our farm practices include:

  • Using no chemicals of any kind (no pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, chemical fertilizers, or sprays - even organic ones!)

  • Maintaining permanent beds and a 100% no till soil management to build vibrant soil biology and preserve the natural soil structure

  • Removing plants at the surface level instead of pulling them out, leaving root systems in the ground to decompose in place

  • Intercropping, companion planting and growing a diversity of plant species

  • Cover cropping, adding annual applications of compost and mulching pathways with arborist wood chips to increase the organic matter and carbon in our soil

  • Incorporating flowers and diverse perennial plantings to attract pollinators and beneficial insects

  • Tending to everything by hand, using no tractor

  • Planting a native plants hedgerow to provide windbreak, climatic stabilization, reduced soil erosion, and habitat

We hold beauty as a central value.

We believe that beauty is not a superfluous aspiration but a central part of the fabric of each of our daily life experiences. Food and flowers possess a singular ability to reawaken us to the awe and beauty of each moment, to nourish us not just physically but also psycologically. Food is our most direct and intimate connection to the beauty of the earth.

We are dedicated to our community.

From the CSA to our online farm store, our mission and goal is to provide our local community with the most fresh, vibrant and beautiful produce that we can. It is a true honor and a privilege to grow food for you and your families and a highlight to see you each week.

Everything we grow is sold within 20 miles of the farm.
